Non-bailable warrant against legislator 

A local court issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) on Monday against Gajapathinagaram MLA K Appala Naidu in a cheque dishonour case filed by a cloth merchant in Vizianagaram.

VISAKHAPATNAM : A local court issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) on Monday against Gajapathinagaram MLA K Appala Naidu in a cheque dishonour case filed by a cloth merchant in Vizianagaram.

KA Naidu had taken Rs 20 lakh as a loan from a cloth merchant Purushotham Jain in 2013 and Naidu had given a cheque towards the payment. The cheque was dishonoured due to insufficient balance.

The merchant filed a complaint under the Negotiable Instrument Act. Though the court issued notices to Naidu to attend the trials, he ignored the notices.

The first-class magistrate (mobile court), Vizianagaram, N Srilaxmi issued the NBW against Naidu and directed the police to execute it before 
January 9.
