Andhra Pradesh traffic cops get 50 bikes as part of CSR from pvt pharma firm

Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has distributed 50 motorcycles among the Visakhapatnam traffic police department on Monday.

VISAKHAPATNAM: Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has distributed 50 motorcycles among the Visakhapatnam traffic police department on Monday. The motorcycles were donated by a private pharmaceutical unit as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity.

According to officials, Chandrababu Naidu flagged off the motorcycles for traffic police  in the presence of district collector Pravin Kumar and police commissioner T Yoganand.

Each bike costs about `1 lakh and the mobile traffic police on duty will use the bikes for patrolling and attending to emergency cases at the earliest. 

The CP opined that the bikes would be useful for the traffic patrolling in a city like Visakhapatnam.
