Man killed by wife  in Guntur district 

 A woman murdered her husband at Cherukupalli in Guntur district late on Tuesday night. According to sources, P Venkata Srinivasa Rao (38) had been serving in the Army for the last 14 years.

GUNTUR: A woman murdered her husband at Cherukupalli in Guntur district late on Tuesday night. According to sources, P Venkata Srinivasa Rao (38) had been serving in the Army for the last 14 years. He married Lakshmi a few years ago and they have one son and two daughters. Srinivasa Rao used to visit his native place during vacation. 

On one such vacation in November first week, Srinivasa Rao visited his native village Cherukupalli. In the last few days, the couple had frequent quarrels and Lakshmi left for her parent’s house at Thokuravaripalem. On Tuesday, she returned to her husband’s house and the couple again had a quarrel. In a fit of rage, Lakshmi attacked her husband with a pestle. Srinivasa Rao succumbed to head injuries. The villagers immediately informed the matter to the police. Cherukupalli SI C Rajeswara Rao registered a case.
