No Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams budget yet for new financial year in Andhra Pradesh

For the first time in the history of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the annual budget approval of the famous hill shrine was delayed due to the absence of the governing body.

TIRUPATI: For the first time in the history of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the annual budget approval of the famous hill shrine was delayed due to the absence of the governing body. Actually, the budget for the current fiscal was to be approved by the TTD Trust Board by February 14. However, it got delayed due to non-constitution of the TTD Trust Board.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu asserted during his recent visit to Tirupati that he would reconstitute the TTD Trust Board soon.Despite the end of the term of the TTD Trust Board, the State government has not taken any initiative to reconstitute it affecting the administration of Tirumala shrine. The undue delay in the formation of TTD Trust Board drew flak from several quarters, including Opposition Leader YS Jagan.
