VIJAYAWADA: APCC chief N Raghuveera Reddy has blamed Chandrababu Naidu’s ‘corrupt administration’ for the State’s backwardness and said mismanagement of the State’s economy by Naidu’s government was exposed in the CAG report.

In a press release issued on Saturday, he said the CAG had observed that Utilisation Certificates were incomplete without a statement of expenditure. “It shows there is no transparency and accountability in Naidu’s government. Chandrababu Naidu and his family and ministers are looting public money,” he said.
He said CAG has clearly mentioned that excess allocations were made without valid reasons.

“They funds were not spent where they should have been. More funds were spent where there was no need at all. This led to deficiency of funds for priority sectors,” he observed.

The Congress leader said public debt has increased in the last four years and the development came to a naught.

Earlier, speaking to reporters in Hyderabad, Raghuveera Reddy said the Modi Sarkar ran away from the debate on no-confidence motion,  fearing defeat. “The NDA Government has deliberately stalled the proceedings and ensured notice of no-confidence motion was disallowed till the last date.  By doing so, the Modi government has indirectly admitted that it has done injustice to Andhra Pradesh,” he said.

Finding fault with Naidu on the SCS issue, he said TDP chief’s reaction was too late and the motive behind it was political mileage rather than protecting the interests of the State.
