Bring complaints on schemes to HODs’ notice: Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary to Real-Time Governance chief

The Chief Secretary instructed the RTG chief to write letters to the concerned departments, explaining about the loopholes in the implementation of schemes.

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar has directed Real-Time Governance (RTG) Chief Executive Officer Babu A to write letters to the Heads of Departments (HODs), explaining them about the complaints received from the public.

While reviewing complaints on various government schemes at the Interim Government Complex in Velagapudi on Thursday, the Chief Secretary observed that though the satisfaction levels among public on government schemes were increasing time-to-time, some of the departments are yet to improve efficiency.
Babu informed that they were recording feedback of public on 34 government schemes being implemented by 19 departments through Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) and explained about the public satisfaction levels on the government schemes.

The Chief Secretary instructed the RTG chief to write letters to the concerned departments, explaining about the loopholes in the implementation of schemes and immediate measures to be taken for increasing the satisfaction among public.

The Chief Secretary also warned of action against officials for dereliction of duty.The RTG CEO said the public satisfaction level stood at 62 per cent on the implementation of government schemes in January. It declined to 61% in February and increased to 66% in March and 70% in April, Babu said.He said the Social Welfare Department and Rural Housing Department stood at the bottom by getting only 57% and 51% public satisfaction in March.
