TIRUPATI: Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Task Force nabbed a smuggler from Javadhu Malai and seized 24 red sanders logs, while 20 smugglers gave a slip to the combing operation team. From the same place late on Sunday night, the Task Force Reserve Sub-Inspector Vasu and his team caught the smuggler and found the logs.
When the team started combing on Sunday night, they found some movement of people at Anjaneya Swamy temple at Srivari Mettu Road. The Task Force divided into two teams and launched search operation in the forest. At Perumalla Palli beat, Armed Reserve constable Hari caught smuggler Swaminathan, who hails from Tiruvannamalai district in Tamil Nadu, while 20 smugglers managed to escape.
