ONGOLE: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has said that Ramayapatnam port works will commence at the earliest. Blaming the former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy for the non-materialisation of Ramayapatnam port project, Naidu said that he had already spoken to the management of Krishnapatnam port in this regard and within a year the Ramayapatnam port works would be taken up.
Announcing that a university would be set up in Ongole and a veterinary college at Kandukur, he said Veligonda project works would resume within 10 days and he would make regular visits to the project site once in a month to complete the first tunnel by 2019 and the second tunnel by 2020.
He also said that an industrial city would be developed at Donakonda and NIMZ in Kandukur for the development of the district.
