Andhra Pradesh: Rs 8.5 lack gold, silver ornaments stolen from jewellery shop

GUNTUR: An unidentified miscreant stole 5 kg of silver and 250 grams of gold ornaments from a jewellery shop at Bapatla in the early hours on Friday. According to the Bapatla police, owner C Sudheer of Baba Jewellers opened the shop in the morning on Friday and found gold and silver ornaments missing. He also found a big hole on the backside of the shop.

DSP D Gangadharam said the stolen jewellery is worth Rs 8.5 lakh. He said the CC camera footage was verified and it was found that one person was involved in the crime. He said the police collected technical evidence from the scene of offence and special teams were formed to nab the culprit. He said he had already deputed Urban CI Vijaya Kumar and other officials to investigate the case and nab the culprit.
