Ramesh Hospitals acquires Ongole's Sanghamitra Hospital

The firm, a leading multi-specialty tertiary care chain in coastal Andhra Pradesh, has 560 operational beds at its three hospitals in the Vijayawada-Guntur region. 

VIJAYAWADA:  Ramesh Hospitals has entered into a strategic partnership with Sanghamitra Hospital of Ongole with the acquisition of its majority stake on Saturday. Ramesh Hospitals, a part of the Aster DM Healthcare Ltd, is a public listed firm since February 2018. The firm, a leading multi-specialty tertiary care chain in coastal Andhra Pradesh, has 560 operational beds at its three hospitals in the Vijayawada-Guntur region. 

On this occasion, MD Dr. P.Ramesh Babu, said: “I am happy that we are becoming partners with Sanghamitra Hospital... I am confident that we will be able to realize synergies and further expand our services in paediatric cardiology, transplant clinics etc. We will be able to serve our patients closer to their homes with continued focus on quality, patient satisfaction and employee satisfaction. In order to pursue our inorganic growth plans, we intend expand our footprint in AP and increase our bed capacity to 1200-1500 over the next 3-5 years” Sanghamitra Hospital was founded by DrTirumala Reddy and commenced operations in 2011-12.
