GUNTUR: Swachh Bharat brand ambassador for Guntur, Dr. Rayapati Mamata, participated in Swachh Bharat at Krishnababu Colony in Guntur on Sunday.
She conducted an awareness programme for the households in the colony and urged the people to segregate dry and wet waste before handing it over to sanitation workers of Guntur Municipal Corporation.
She further said that throwing of garbage on the roads and drainages will lead to mosquito menace. Efforts should be taken to keep the houses and surrounding areas clean as it will help to keep seasonal diseases under control. GMC MHO Ch Sobharani, doctors Padmaja and Karthik and others attended the programme.
