Railway guard dies of cardiac arrest in Guntur of Andhra Pradesh

As per the directions of station master, the station guard inspected the last cabin in the passenger train and found railway guard K Venkateswara Rao (48) lying in a pool of blood.

GUNTUR: A railway guard died due to cardiac arrest in Dhone-Guntur Passenger (57327) on Monday. Gundlakamma station master Y Prasad said that he had given green signal to the passenger train when it reached Gundlakamma railway station in Guntur district. As there was no response from the railway guard, Prasad directed station guard S Ramajaneyulu to verify the position of the guard.

As per the directions of station master, the station guard inspected the last cabin in the passenger train and found railway guard K Venkateswara Rao (48) lying in a pool of blood. He immediately informed the matter to station master. They in turn informed the Narasaraopet GRP for further action.

Passengers K Mohan, Sk Shah Jahan and Lanka Rambabu said that they faced harrowing time as Dhone-Guntur Passenger halted at Gundlakamma station for nearly two hours.

Narasaraopet GRP SI N Prakasha Rao said that Venkateswara Rao had died due to cardiac arrest.
On hearing about the death news, Venkateswara Rao’s brother K Srinu and son K Nasaraiah rushed to the Gundlakamma railway station. His body was shifted to Donakonda railway hospital for postmortem.
