TIRUPATI:  Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal instructed electrical and engineering wings to change the existing traditional power supply lines at Tirumala to next-gen underground safest cabling system by using more advanced technology.

In a monthly review meeting held here on Monday, the EO instructed TTD Electrical Chief Venkateswarlu that every inch at Tirumala is used by pilgrims. Cottage area, roads, Mada Streets, main roads, guest houses and all congregated areas have to be surveyed first for the new power cabling system, conduct review with experts and draft a plan at the earliest. According to sources, the EO questioned that under the Smart City project, Tirupati would get next-gen power supply system and why not the Tirumala hill shrine.
100% LED lighting by Sept

“By the end of August, the electrical wing has to reach 100% target of changing LED lighting from the existing traditional lighting to save energy,” the EO said.

Tirupati JEO P Bhaskar received instructions from the EO that he has to finalise parking at Tiruchanur temple, which is a burden to pilgrims, because of the panchayat fee. He called for establishing time slot darshan tokens issue counters at Narayana Vanam, Bugga, Nagalapuram, Karvetinagaram, Appalayagunta and other TTD temples.

EO: Inspect temporary sheds
