Andhra Pradesh records 131 fresh COVID-19 cases, state tally touches 3461

VIJAYAWADA: Another 131 positive cases, including three with Koyambedu market links, reported in the last 24 hours ending 9 am on Saturday took the State COVID-19 tally to 3,461. No death was recorded in the past 24 hours and the toll stood at 60.

According to the Media Bulletin released by the State Command Control Room, 9,504 samples were tested in the past 24 hours (Friday 9 am to Saturday 9 am), of which 131 tested positive. Of the 131 new cases, 70 are people from the State while 61 are from other States category.

A total of 244 persons were discharged from hospitals across the State in the 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries in the State to 2,281. The active cases now stand at 1,120. In Prakasam, three more cases were reported, taking the tally to 83 in the district. Giving some relief to the Nellore administration, no fresh cases were recorded in the district in the past 24 hours and the tally stood at 240.
