VIJAYAWADA: TDP State President Kinjarapu Atchannaidu and other leaders on Sunday lambasted the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government for resorting to vindictive acts unable to face the criticism from all quarters for its faulty policies.

They questioned how could a rented property be attached by the government and the allegation of quid pro quo made over the Inner Ring Road which is not there. “Unable to face the facts being brought to light by TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu in the procurement of paddy from the rain-affected farmers, negligence of government and irregularities committed by YSRC leaders, the Jagan Mohan Reddy government has stooped to such a low,” observed Atchannaidu.

He maintained that the YSRC government was bringing such issues to the fore only to divert the attention of people from former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy's murder case and the involvement of top YSRC leadership in it. “They are claiming things unrelated to one another. One time they say Naidu’s residence is on government land and another time they say it is an illegal building. They themselves do not know what they are saying. All this is nothing but the vindictive act of the ruling party against the Opposition,” he remarked.

TDP leader Dhulipalla Narendra termed the latest GOs to attach properties of Jagan and others a new drama of Jagan and the GOs were meant to suppress the truth. “There is not an iota of truth in the allegations being levelled by the ruling party against the TDP chief. The fact is that Lingamaneni Ramesh had bought the lands in 2011 and not after Naidu had become Chief Minister of the State. The allegations of the government are baseless and it is only vindictive politics,” he observed.

Narendra said citing the fictitious survey numbers and foisting false cases in the name Inner Ring Road are not correct. “Jagan should answer as to why he took a U-turn on Amaravati. It should also be noted that the Supreme Court itself had ruled out insider trading in Amaravati lands issue,” he mentioned.

Ridiculing the YSRC government for probing a clean issue, the TDP leader said the CID had failed to file a chargesheet even after four years of its probe in the case. “If there is anyone who is well versed in quid pro quo deals, it is Jagan,” he remarked.
