Sambra seat a prestige point for Desai, Patil

Internal clashes between ZP member Nagesh Desai and Belgaum rural MLA Sanjay Patil are not new for the localites here. But, in the latest update, the same clashes can be sensed during their election campaigns in Sambra.
Where Desai is supporting his wife Shubhangi, who is contesting as an Independent candidate, Patil is supporting BJP candidate Leela Shankar Jatrati.
No stone has been left unturned by both of them to ensure the victory of their candidates.
However, according to sources, situation has changed. Earlier, both are them were campaigning the victory for their respective candidates, but now defeating the other candidate has become their aim.
And for the same, they are ready to go to any extent, sources allege.
After the end of campaigning on Wednesday, one of the two leaders came out with a CD, highlighting wrongdoings of the opponent.
The CDs were distributed to all the villagers and were also given to Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti candidate Shalan Bhujang Joi.
Now, the villagers are waiting for the other leader to launch a counter attack.
The present situation has made Sambra a sensitive seat, as the supporters of both Patil and Desai may turn violent on the polling day, and police and administration may face a tought time deal with them.
