MYSORE: Sujal Kumar, a final BCom student and diehard fan of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar committed suicide, by hanging at his house at Pandavapura town.
Sujal (21), a student of D Banumaiah College, Mysore took the extreme step when Tendulkar failed to hit a century in the World Cup final match against Sri Lanka. He had expressed displeasure over Tendulkar's dismissal for 18 runs.
However, there are also rumours that Sujay and his friends were involved in a betting of Rs 1.20 lakh on Sachin scoring a century. But when his failed, the student took the extreme step.
According to the Pandavapura town police, Sujal Kumar's father Bhaskar denied the rumour.
Pandavapura police have registered a case of unnatural death.
