Veerashaiva mutts and seers have expressed happiness over the High Court verdict of granting anticipatory bail to former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa and his kin in the alleged land grabbing case.
Guruswamy of Sallur Mutt said god is in favour of Yeddyurappa for his good works for the poor, farmers and others. He said Yeddyurappa is in trouble because of the problems created by others and interference of his family members. However, he will prove his innocence and come out clean in the cases filed against him in various courts. He said no one, including Yeddyurappa, can escape the sins committed in the past.
Dayananda Swami, while welcoming the verdict added that Yeddyurappa can be questioned anytime by the investigatiors. He warned that the community would not sit quiet if vested interests conspire to finish Yeddyurappa.
