‘BJP candidate violated norm’

The CPIM has alleged that BJP candidate for MLC Ramchandra Gowda has violated the election norms.

The CPIM said that the party had filed an objection before Election Commission in this regard. At a press conference here on Tuesday, K N Umesh said,”In the campaign material dispatched to voters in Bangalore Graduate Constituency by Ramchandra Gowda, a model ballot paper enumerating preferential votes against each candidate’s name is printed. The prima facie reveals that names of all other candidates except that of Gowda are misrepresented. “Our candidate’s is  K S  Lakshmi, which bears serial number 4. But it  is misquoted as La against no 4. This will have a negative bearing on  election. The  Chief Electoral Officer he has promised to issue a notice through regional commissioner.”
