Yogeshwar defends government actions

Forest Minister C P Yogeshwar strongly defended the state government’s recent action against controversial godman Nithyananda and his ashram. The legal action initiated against the godman is in pursuant to a report submitted by the district administration.

 “I refute MP Vishwanath’s allegations that I was responsible for his growth.  I have never met or seen Nithyananda, the minister,” also Ramanagaram District in-charge, addressed the media thus here on Friday. He, however, refused to go into the controversial details of the ashram. Terming the recent incidents of the ashram and its activities as “unfortunate”, Yogeshwar blamed the media too for the recent spate of controversies.
