HASSAN: Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Motamma said that she would not be happy if former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa joins the Congress.

However, she added: “I will welcome any decision taken by the party high command.”

She said here on Monday that no Congress leader has discussed the issue in the party yet; “Moreover, even Yeddyurappa has not said that he will join us. We cannot air baseless statements over irrelevant issues,” she added.

Coming down heavily on BJP for its dissident activities, Motamma said: “People are frustrated with the state government. They are waiting to teach the BJP a lesson in the upcoming Assembly elections.

She said that senior leaders of BJP-ruled states, including Narendra Modi, have no clarity and have declared themselves to be the party high-command.
