School gets land for building

It was a celebration time for the students and staff of Government Marathi School Number 37 as their school was provided 22 guntas of land for construction of its building.

Speaking on the occasion,  Belgaum South MLA Sambhajirao Patil said the school has `9 lakh fund for its building construction. He assured to provide additional amount from his MLA local area development fund.

It may be recalled that the school was shifted to a garage premises as the lease period of the building where the school was run expired about two-and-half-years ago.

Though parents of the students and the staff of the school approached district administration and Education Department officials many times urging for proper premises for the school, their requests had gone unheard.

About six months ago, the school was shifted to another school premises.

It is like a dream come true for the students and staff of this Marathi school.
