'Fabricated cases will be probed'

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday said that a committee headed by a high court judge will be constituted to look into the files of people who may have been jailed in fabricated cases.

“The committee will review all the cases and ensure that innocent people who are being kept in detention are given protection,” he said.

He promised the 14 lakh plus BPL card applicants that the government will soon sort their applications and ensure that the card reaches them.

Meanwhile, former minister Roshan Baig urged 15 per cent reservation of seats in all non-minority educational institutions in the state for Muslims students and other minority groups.
