Mars launch date still undecided

India Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has postponed its decision of fixing a launch date for its upcoming Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM).

India Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has postponed its decision of fixing a launch date for its upcoming Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM).

The launch window is between October 28 and November 19.

"Yes, we have deferred the decision till one of the two shifts arrives at the launch site because of the bad weather in the South Pacific Ocean. We shall take a call on this on October 22," spokesperson of ISRO D P Karnik said.

The launch window for the MOM to begin its journey till November 19 failing which the mission will have to be postponed for two more years.
