No difference between BJP and JDS: Siddaramaiah

Blaming former prime minister H D Deve Gowda led JD(S) of indulging in "opportunistic politics", Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today said there was no difference between the party and BJP.

"JDS is misleading people by calling itself a secular party......there is no much difference between BJP and JDS," Siddaramaiah told reporters at Mysore today.

"We call BJP communal party, JDS is no different from them," he said.

BJP had backed JDS candidates in recently concluded bypolls to Mandya and Bangalore rural parliamentary constituencies, which Congress won.

Congress also won two out of the three seats in the recently concluded bypolls to the legislative council defeating BJP-KJP-JDS alliance.
