The static surveillance team of the Election Commission with the help of police seized around Rs 1.50 crore from a car near Rani Circle in Devanahalli police station limits at around 4 pm on Friday. According to sources, the occupants of the car were headed to Chikmagalur. The cash was handed over to Income Tax officials late Friday night and three people were arrested, sources said. In a similar incident, a vehicle carrying `1.33 crore was detained near Nellahalli at Nelamangala. The vehicle was regularly in use to refill ATM machines but the occupants had no documents to prove the source of the cash. No arrests were made in this case. In yet another incident, poll officials have seized `7 lakh at Talagattapura near Tataguni.
