A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by three people of Vittal in a remote place in Madikeri recently.
According to a complaint registered at Vittal police station, resident of Kodangai Radhukatte near Vittal Abdul Basheer, Boobbekeri resident Bashir alias Bakuta Basheer and Karyadi resident Jabbar are the accused in the case.
The girl reportedly knew Bakuta Basheer as he runs a mobile phone centre in Vittal town. Police sources said the accused had invited the girl to Urimajalu near Vittal and forcibly pushed her inside a car on Monday. Later he took the girl to Madikeri.
She revealed the incident to her parents when she returned on Wednesday. Police said the accused are absconding.
