Four Killed in Road Mishap in Bagalkot

Three people were killed while another succumbed to injuries in a road accident near Achanur cross in Bagalkot on Friday.

Three people were killed while another succumbed to injuries in a road accident near Achanur cross in Bagalkot on Friday.

According to police, the accident occured around 3 pm when a tempo on way to Kamatagi from Illal village collided with a cruiser  heading towards Almatti from Bagalkot. PSI B D Dhulkhed said five-six people who sustained injuries have been shifted to Bagalkot hospital.

Katti’s Wife’s Car Hits Pregnant Woman

Hubli: A woman had a miscarriage after she was hit by a car, which was carrying former minister Umesh Katti’s wife, Sheela, at Varur in Hubli taluk on Friday.

Pushpa Manjunath Chavvan (25) of Mandalagatti village in Kalaghatagi taluk was six months pregnant.

Pushpa, a garment factory employee, was returning home when the accident took place. After the accident, Pushpa was taken to the KIMS by Sheela. KIMS medical superintendent Dr Mallikarjuna Swamy said Pushpa was being shifted to a private hospital.
