A staff nurse attempted suicide by consuming pills, alleging sexual harassment by a Health Department driver.
A staff nurse of Mandya district hospital alleged that driver Anand sexually harassed her. Fed up with his torture, she attempted suicide on Saturday night at VIMHS hospital quarters.
She is undergoing treatment at Mandya Medical Science Institute Hospital.
She has stated in her complaint that Anand has been sexually harassing her since 2003. A case has been registered at Mandya West police station. Police are on the lookout for Anand, who is absconding after the incident.
