CM: Did Not Wear Footwear at Puja

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has denied  reports that he performed puja to Goddess Chamundeshwari in Mysore, wearing footwear.

BANGALORE: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has denied  reports that he performed puja to Goddess Chamundeshwari in Mysore, wearing footwear. Terming the reports appearing in a section of the media as “far from truth”, an angry Siddaramaiah said, “I have never indulged in any activity which will hurt the sentiments of the people and in future also, I will not behave in such a way.” A section of the media had stated that Siddaramaiah had offered puja, wearing shoes, before the launch of Jamboo Savari on Saturday. Strongly criticising Siddramaiah, the BJP held a demonstration demanding the resignation of the CM.
