7.5 K Cops Will be Recruited, Says George

BANGALORE : Home Minister  K J George said the government is ready to release `50 lakh to provide basic facilities to 11  KSRP Training and Research Centres and recruit 7,500 policemen in the coming days.

George announced this after inaugurating a KSRP Training and Research Centre building behind Ashok Nagar police station. He said the government also issued circular to recruit 7,000 Home Guards and in next year, 22,000 vacant posts will be filled.

ADGP KSRP Raghavendra Auradkar said 5,000 vacant posts in the KSRP. “We are giving training to 1,030 and permission has been granted to recruit 1,000 KSRP men,” he said. There is a 70-acre land in Hassan and there is a need for funds to establish a training centre, he said.
