BANGALORE: Kolar Deputy Commissioner (DC) D K Ravi has been transferred and posted as Additional Commissioner of Commercial Taxes (Enforcement), according to a government order on Wednesday.
K V Thrilok Chandra, who was the Additional Commissioner of Commercial Taxes (Enforcement), Bangalore, has been posted as Kolar DC. R Vinoth Priya, IAS, Kolar ZP CEO is transferred and posted until further orders as Additional Mission Director, Sakala, Bangalore, relieving R Manoj, IFS, of the additional charge.
K S Manjunath, IAS, Additional Commissioner (Administration), BBMP is withdrawn from Urban Development Department and posted until further orders as Kolar ZP CEO.
Meanwhile, forums and political parties have called for a district bandh on Thursday against Ravi’s transfer. On October 20, people staged a demonstration urging the government not to transfer the DC as he was instrumental in taking up various development works, including clearing encroachments of government land.
