KOPPAL: Even as Chief Minister Siddaramaiah dismissed the proposal of introducing lottery claiming that the state’s finance was sound, the 2015-16 budget is likely to propose opening of multiple liquor outlets through Mysore Sales International Limited (MSIL), sources told Express.

MSIL, in association with the Excise Department, has already conducted a survey and selected 349 places across the state for the outlets.

The government wants to flow “affordable” alcohol through MSIL outlets. MSIL managing director Harikumar Jha has submitted a survey report to the Excise Department for further measures, a source said.
