BELAGAVI: A 13-year-old died after being hit by a speeding truck near Kusamali village in Khanapur taluk of Belgaum district on Wednesday evening.
The victim has been identified as Vitthal Sonu Kokare of Kusamali village.
According to police sources, Vitthal Kokare was returning from school on his bycycle when the truck hit him.
The crowd rushed to the spot and after thrashing the driver, set fire to the truck.
A case has been registered at Khanapur Police Station and investigations are on in this regard.
