Ex-naxals Moot United Movement

BENGALURU: Not only is the time right for another revolution, the leaders of various social movements should come together to fight for change, said former Naxalites, who recently responded to the state government’s call to come forward and join mainstream society.

Proposing a united front of social movements on Sunday, Sirmane Nagaraj and Noor Sridhar met with over 15 leaders of social movements such as the Dalit Sangharsha Samithi and numerous human rights organisations. This is the first of many more meetings that will be held across the state over the next three months.

Nagaraj told reporters that there were three stages to ‘coming mainstream’. “The fight is the first, followed by the cases and court hearings. The third is to bring people together to form a mass movement,” he said.
