BJP United Against CM, Says Joshi

BENGALURU: The reported division within the BJP regarding the future course of action against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on the Arkavathy Layout denotification is back to the fore, with BJP national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao discussing the matter with state party president Prahlad Joshi here on Wednesday.

Though Rao was in the city to review the progress of the party’s membership drive, the denotification issue figured in his meeting with Joshi. However, after the meeting, Joshi looked to put out the fire saying that there was no division in the party on the issue.

“Reports of Bengaluru BJP MLAs opposing the legal battle are baseless. We are all united in the fight against Siddaramaiah. We are waiting for a call from the Governor. Members of our legal cell will submit a formal request seeking prosecution immediately after getting an appointment,” Joshi added.
