Karnataka police arrests one person in connection with blast case

Mohammed Ali Khan has been arrested by a five-member police team while he was having tea at a shop yesterday, police said.

ERODE: A 43-year-old man has been arrested at Sathyamanagalam in the district by a team of Karnataka police in connection with the 2013 Bengaluru bomb blast case in which 17 persons suffered injuries, police said today.

Mohammed Ali Khan has been arrested by a five-member police team while he was having tea at a shop yesterday, police said.

Khan s family members had lodged a complaint with Sathyamangalam police that he was kidnapped by some persons.

Sathyamangalam police after holding an investigation later informed the family members that he was arrested by a team of police officials led Venkatesh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bengaluru in connection with the April-2013 bomb blast near the BJP office.

Relatives of Khan and some members of Tamilaga Muslim Mennetra Kazhagam today held a demonstration demanding his release.
