BENGALURU: Businessman and filmmaker Shashi Bhushan told Express that he purchased the Devanahalli land from Chief Secretary Arvind Jadhav in 1996. However, Jadhav has been maintaining that the land was sold in 1999.
Questioned about the discrepancy, he said, “The officials in the land records department need to make the entry manually and change it. They somehow forgot about it and I did not follow it up either.” He said in the past many years, Tarabai and her family have come just once to Devanahalli as his guests. Bhushan, who hails from Vijaywada, earlier lived in Hyderabad. He now resides in Bengaluru and operates from his office at Prakruti Resorts Spa.
There are also several individual plots owned by film actors like Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan Teja behind the resort.
