Yathindra's visit raises eyebrows

MYSURU: The presence of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son Yathindra with senior government officials during Varuna canal inspection has raised many eyebrows.

The rules do not allow spouses, children or other relatives of elected representatives to carry out meetings or inspections by summoning officials. Yathindra carried out the inspection following complaints that the tail-end area farmers are not receiving water and some tanks are not filled. A senior official said Yathindra who is tipped to be the political heir of the Chief Minister appears to be not advised properly.
