TUMAKURU: Two children allegedly tried to commit suicide when their foster parents turned down their demand to buy new clothes for Ugadi at Kottada Rangapura in Sira town on Wednesday.
Their uncle Henjerappa found them hanging and shifted them to a hospital. Radha (11), a Class VI student, is recuperating in a hospital and her elder sister Neela (14), a Class IX student, is said to be critical.
Their parents had died a year ago and their uncle and his wife had adopted them.
