BELAGAVI: A BJP legislator in Karnataka has landed himself in soup after he allegedly shared 56 photos of porn stars on a WhatsApp group that has police personnel, government officials and journalists as members.
Mahantesh Kavatagimath (52), who represents Chikodi constituency, reportedly posted the photos on Tuesday evening in Belagavi Media Force group set up to share news alerts.
As many members left the group embarrassed by the posts, he was subsequently removed from the group.
In an earlier instance in 2012, another legislator from the district - Laxman Savadi - was caught on camera watching a porn clip during the Assembly session in Vidhana Soudha. Incidentally, both the legislators are from BJP and hail from Chikodi constituency.
