Ex-MP’s another grandson has a history of violence

BENGALURU: While Vishnu, grandson of liquor baron late D K Audikeshavulu is still at large, his younger sibling too was in the news a few months ago for all the wrong reasons. Vishnu’s younger brother had allegedly assaulted his friend after barging into an apartment in Rajarajeshwarinagar.
The incident was reported on April 24 this year and Audinarayana (26), Vishnu’s brother, was arrested soon after the incident came to light.

Audinarayana had crashed his car into the apartment gate where his friend was residing and a security guard had escaped with minor injuries. Police had seized the car. A senior police officer said that Darshan Dwarakanath, who resides at Meenakshi Apartment in Rajarajeshwarinagar, had filed a complaint stating that Audinarayana, who knew him for the last few years, had barged into his flat and assaulted him without any reason. Around evening, he also crashed his speeding car to the gate and a security guard was injured because of the impact. Darshan alerted the police about the incident and the beat police took Audinarayana into custody. He was subjected to medical tests, which revealed that he was under the influence of alcohol.

Later, he was handed over to judicial custody but was released on bail after ten days. Two weeks ago, his brother Vishnu came to the station, produced a court order, and took away the seized car. “Darshan was threatened by Audinarayana and his family to withdraw the complaint. Thus, he avoided the police when they went to gather evidence about the incident. However, police convinced him and a chargesheet was also filed later,” the officer added.
