BENGALURU: State BJP president B S Yeddyurappa has blamed the Siddaramaiah government for the crumbling infrastructure in Bengaluru. “The Congress has destroyed Bengaluru. The Congress has killed Bengaluru,” he said in an interview with Express. The former chief minister’s tirade, coming at a time when pothole-riddled roads are claiming lives and the city is witnessing flooding whenever it rains, is aimed at shaming the Congress government ahead of the assembly elections. “The loot in the name of developing Begaluru has been exposed,” he said.

The man, better known for his mass agitations, is working on plans to hit the streets to galvanise Bengalureans and hold the government accountable for their woes. With the city having 28 assembly seats, Yeddyurappa is aware of its importance for his ‘Mission 150’.

Talking about poll strategies, Yeddyurappa said his party’s campaign would kick off with the ‘Parivartana Yatra’ to be launched on November 2. He said the plan is to reach out to people in all 224 assembly constituencies, highlighting the pro-people programmes of the Modi government at the Centre, the achievements of the previous BJP government in the state and failures of the Siddaramaiah government.
