CHAMARAJNAGAR: A tiger was found dead in Kundukere, Lokkere forest range in Bandipur, here on Sunday. The 12-year-old male tiger died of old age, sources said.
Forest officials, who were on beat, noticed the decomposed carcass of the tiger. Bandipur Conservator T Heeralal said the tiger died three days ago due to old age.

No wounds were found on the external or internal parts of the body. ‘‘Postmortem was conducted at Bandipur on Sunday afternoon. We are waiting for the results,’’ forest officials said. After conducting postmortem, the carcass was cremated.
This is the 12 tiger casualty being reported from Karnataka since January this year.
