BENGALURU: Whipped by party n ational p resident Amit Shah for not being proactive enough against the Siddaramaiah government in an election year , state BJP leaders are set to hit the agitation mode from Friday. The decision was taken as Shah wound up his three -day visit to the state to galvanise the party rank and file ahead of the 2018 Assembly election.

Shah, who had taken the state’s top leadership to task for not attacking the Siddaramaiah government over corruption and not seeking the resignation of Energy minister D K Shivakumar   following I - T raids on his premises, has asked leaders not to rest till ‘Mission 150’ is achieved .

“BJP will launch a week-long statewide agitation from Friday against the Congress government in general and ministers Shivakumar, Ramesh Jarkiholi and Mahila Congress President Lakshmi Hebbalkar in particular on corruption as there have been I - T raids on these three leaders,” BJP s tate
p resident B S Yeddyurappa said on Monday.

“Siddaramaiah government has become synonymous with corruption and earned the epithet of being the most corrupt government in the country. It has become an expert in giving clean chits to those ministers charged for various misdemeano u rs. Chief Minister should drop Shivakumar and Jarkholi from the cabinet,” Yeddyurappa said.
