BENGALURU: RDPR Minister H K Patil has said that the cloud seeding exercise taken up by the department resulted in excess of 10-25 per cent rainfall in the regions where the flares were dispersed. Addressing reporters on Wednesday, Patil said that cloud seeding exercise which was held over 37 days for nearly 90 hours spelt a scientific victory for the state.
“The cloud seeding exercise not only increased the rainfall, but also increased the moisture content of the soil considerably,” he said.Held over Hubballi and Bengaluru, as many as 587 flares in two flights had been dispersed in the areas of Channapatna, Magadi, Channarayapatna, Arasikere, Kadur among others.
