10-yr-old found dead in Afzalpur, six in custody

Vaishali, the mother of the victim — Rajashekar Honnali — has named Anil Bhangi, Sanjiv Heggi, Mallu Ingalagi, Pachhu Vadeyar, Mallu alias Mallinath, and Basavaraj Kandoli in her complaint.

KALABURAGI: The body of a 10-year-old boy was found on the outskirts of Afzalpur town in Kalaburagi district on Saturday. The incident came to light after the mother of the victim filed a complaint with the Afzalpur police on Sunday alleging that the boy was killed by a gang after he objected to his sister being teased by one of its members and warned them that he would complain to his parents.
Six people have been taken into custody for questioning in this connection, Superintendent of Police Shashikumar told the media on Monday.

Vaishali, the mother of the victim — Rajashekar Honnali — has named Anil Bhangi, Sanjiv Heggi, Mallu Ingalagi, Pachhu Vadeyar, Mallu alias Mallinath, and Basavaraj Kandoli in her complaint and has accused them of killing her son. In her complaint, Vaishali has alleged that there was enmity between Anil and her family and he used to eve-tease her daughter.

Vaishali alleged that Anil eve-teased her daughter again on Saturday. Rajashekar, who was with his sister, warned Anil that he would complain to his parents about the eve-teasing. Anil, however, managed to pacify Rajashekar, and took him to the town’s outskirts, Vaishali alleged.

Vaishali further said that Anil asked some of his friends to come to the spot and killed the boy using a sickle, the SP said.
