Chief Secretary Ratna Prabha’s tenure extended by three months

The state government has decided to extend the service of Chief Secretary Ratna Prabha by three more months.

BENGALURU:The state government has decided to extend the service of Chief Secretary Ratna Prabha by three more months.Ratna Prabha is already on an extended service for three months.Her tenure was to end on June 30. The state government has now decided to extend it by another three months as Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy is in the middle of many important tasks including preparation of the budget.

Kumaraswamy has written to the Union government seeking approval for the extension of her service till September end.Though Kumaraswamy and former prime minister H D Deve Gowda had opposed the extension of service for her earlier, Gowda is said to have changed his mind considering the administrative need to continue her service at least till the budget making process is completed.
