Two elders die at polling booths in Belagavi, Chitradurga

In a tragic incident, a senior citizen who arrived at a polling booth in Belagavi district died after she suffered a bout of low blood pressure.

BELAGAVI/CHITRADURGA: In a tragic incident, a senior citizen who arrived at a polling booth in Belagavi district died after she suffered a bout of low blood pressure. The deceased was Parawwa Ishwar Sidnal (68), a resident of Yarazarvi of Yaragatti taluk.

According to sources, as she entered the school compound, she collapsed. Her relatives and polling staff rushed her to a hospital, but she had already died.  A medical team confirmed that she had died from low blood pressure.

Separately, Ameer Sab (65), a resident of Renukapura village of Talaku hobli in Challakere taluk, Chitradurga district, died soon after he had cast his vote. When Sab arrived at the polling station, he was well, but his health deteriorated after he voted, resulting in his death.
