The hill shrine of Lord Ayyappa will be opened on July 15 evening for the five-day monthly poojas for the Malayalam month of Karkidakam.
Melsanthi G Balamurali will open the sreekovil of the temple at 5.30 p.m. in the presence of thantri Kandararu Maheswararu.
As a practice, no pooja will be held in the evening.
Sahasrakalasam, kalabhabhishekam and laksharchana would be the special rituals to be conducted during the monthly pooja days. Udayasthamana pooja, pushpabhishekam and padi pooja will be the other poojas to be held. The temple will be closed on July 20 evening after the five-day monthly poojas after athazha pooja and Harivarasanam.
